INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE AT THE LAUNCH OF “NUTRITION DISTRIBUTION” FOR HIV/AIDS CHILDREN”

DESIRE Society is a registered NGO working with an objective of welfare and well-being of children suffering with HIV/AIDS in India. Over the past few years HIV/AIDS killed millions of people and left more than 2 million children as orphans. Now there are 20 million children suffering with HIV/AIDS around the world. Of them about 2 lakh HIV children are living in India. Majority of them lost their parents due to AIDS. Generally these children face stigma and discrimination in our society and their survival still remains a question? On the other hand, the number of HIV incidents is getting increased and the life span of children is decreasing by the day.



To revert this situation, DESIRE Society is working with many facilities to cater these deserved children in India by providing Shelter, Nutrition, Treatment, Education and Moral support. This year DESIRE is also planning its 1st “NUTRITION SUPPLEMENT CAMP” for about 100 HIV+ children in Mumbai. The event would mainly focus on providing nutrition kits to HIV/AIDS infected children. The program/camp would also aim at emphasizing and imparting knowledge on the importance of good and adequate nutrition in improvement of health/well-being of CLHAs. We anticipate important government officials, celebrities, the media, press, volunteers, well wishers, like minded and most important of all, many HIV/AIDS infected children and their families to participate and make this event a meaningful one.


To make this event meaningful and successful, DESIRE encourages your precious participation as a Volunteer, or Mentor or Promoter. We highly appreciate your suggestions and inputs in this regard.
