Software/Application developer needed to help in the design and development of network based services for next generation of Cisco products in the area of network applications.
Candidate will have an unique opportunity to work with some of the leading cutting edge technologies and experts in the areas of application integration and networking.
We are looking for a bright individual who can take direction and drive results with limited supervision.
Candidates must have extensive hands on experience with Java, Web Services, XML, HTTP(S) based development and knowledge of Security, J2EE, and network management is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Help technical leads in detailed design and implementation
Understand and follow Cisco processes including: Design and development methodology and process, Build and release process.
Help Tech lead and management to identify implementation pitfalls and consequences in proactive fashion.
Coordinate and manage dependencies with stakeholders and other teams including QA, environment support, help desk, training, and other cross functional teams
Programming:
Java including J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB), JMS
HTML and HTTP/HTTPS/SOAP
Web Applications (Struts a plus)
Web services
XML
Security (PKI, access control) experience a plus
Database:
SQL
Sybase/Oracle
Design:
UML including object/class diagrams, sequence diagrams, use cases, etc.
OO design principles and patterns for custom applications
Software:
Apache 1.3.x and 2.x, Tomcat 4.x, Oracle 9i
Tools like , JUnit, TOAD, Ant
IDEs like Eclipse
Version Control tools like Clearcase
