Solid understanding of engineering and operating server infrastructure for high-traffic Web sites.
Strong hands-on experience managing large-scale server infrastructure using Linux and/or FreeBSD.
Prior experience with engineering and implementation of carrier-grade Internet-facing services is mandatory.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching is optional but highly desirable.
Ability to write perl/bash scripts, as well as C/C++ is a plus.
Experience with server and network monitoring, capacity planning, change management and configuration policies.
Willingness and ability to teach and train others.
Ability to accept constructive criticism via peer review.
